Freelance Junior AE/C4D Designer(12-05-09)

at Mooshool in London

Hi,

My name is Nicholas Maroussas and I run a small motion graphics studio in London; very small as in it’s just me! Take a look at my website http://www.mooschool.co.uk/ for an idea of the kind of work I do.
I’ve had busy periods before but lately the work is piling up and working evenings and weekends just isn’t as much fun as it used to be! Rather than turning work down I really want to try and find a way to use it to expand my business. Early 2008 I moved into an office in Golden Square with a client so taking someone on now feels like a natural progression.

I’m looking for a design brain who has a reasonable amount of experience using After Effects and Cinema 4D. I’ve stated that I’m looking for a freelancer as to start with I can only afford to hire someone on a per-job basis. I’ve had quiet periods before too! However, I am keen on it becoming a longer-term/full-time position if things go well. To begin with I’d prefer to work out a set fee based on the job’s budget and your daily rate.

I’ve got a couple of jobs in mind that I want someone to help me with; one is for a comedy programme which needs graphics animated for a few spoof music promos. They’re about 2 minutes each and it’s fairly simple stuff (green screen, cosmic space scene behind, objects flying through – don’t worry, I’ve got a c4d space scene setup already that we can play around with) but it will take a bit of time – time I’m going to struggle to find.
2nd job I found out about today and it sounds really cool. It’s creating visuals for a big brand exhibition. Mainly After Effects work I think. Desperate not to turn it down but I can’t see how I’m going to have time myself. That’ll probably be starting next week for 3 weeks.

Please do get in touch if you’re enthusiastic about joining Mooschool! Send me a link to a website/reel, a CV or a bit of background about yourself and your daily rate. Plus let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks,Nick
